About Us

We are Elisabeth Cologne Szymanski & Jim Szymanski

I was born in Switzerland in June of 1979 I traveled alot with my parents but settled in New Jersey in 1991

So I was unable to own a dog, I have made up for it!

Jim was born in New Jersey in 1972 Grew up with a Doberman named Max in Mahwah NJ

We met at a friends bar named Junkyard in Summer 1997 got Married in Fall 1999

I have had shelties & collies since 1995, But we began breeding quality Shelties in 2002 Our shelties pedigree consist of Calcurt, Stonefox and Macdega lines.

Thanks to the great help & trust of Kit Curtis (Calcurt)

who gave us our foundation Bitch Calcurt Sunsprite.

Kit wanted to breed to Turbo, Ch. Stonefox Days OF Thunder.

Bred & owned by Karen Brancheau Shivers (Stonefox)

Karen introduced us to Tom Coen (Macdega) who guided us thru our new breeding program. Thank you to Kit, Karen & Tom.)

Our Borzoi

My love for Borzoi begani in Summer 1999 with our first, a rescue borzoi named Lee who had been bred from Majenkir lines.

Thanks to Ralph Jamison (Mascha Borzoi) Ralph had a 3 year old dog available named Obie, Mascha's Obsession a full brother to Ch. Mascha's Raw Vanilla

Ralph made an offer.......I'll show him for you & he did! Obie took RWD at the BCGNY Dog show in 2000 (See picture at bottom) We were so happy for this team!

I thought I would try my hand in the showring, so I did & got hooked. Thank you Ralph for starting me in the journey of my life- showing dogs!

We never had the time to finish Obie

We lost Obie too soon at 7 year's of age, not long after losing Obie Lee my first borzoi love was also gone at age 12.

After the lost of my dear boys I wanted to go to Karen Staudt Cartabona, home of the world renowned Majenkir kennels to start my foundation in the breed.

At the time we just came home with a sweet puppy boy named Nate. After spending much time at Majenkir kennels helping Karen & Bob I was entrusted to pick out & show a kennel dog, I chose Filly.

Ralph let me co-breed a litter sired by Vanilla We have Godot from that co-breeding.

Karen intrusting me to also co-breed Brios only litter we have Dora from.

Karen after time of showing Filly for her put me on her papers, This was in April 2007 We were to co breed Fillys litter in the fall of 2008 Karen was to get a litter out of her & at that point Filly was to be mine in sole ownership. Well Karen has her litter, We have Filly in sole ownership...But the only thing that did not happen was that was to happen was the co breeding.

But life goes on.

I love all my borzoi- But Filly has my heart.

Ralph is my trusted mentor in the borzoi breed, he has been there with me, helping me along the way anyway he can.

My husband found his love in Toy Fox Terriers in 2004!

We have four AKC Champions now. Our first home bred champion is a female offspring named, Ch. Maskova's Dream Girl After the movie, "Dream Girls" with Jennifer Hudson because she was born Oscar night.Our new TFT comes to us from Valcopy
